Haradinaj: Dialogue only with recognition

(Klan Kosova)

Talking about the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue and about the tariff imposed on Serbian products, the Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj stated that Serbia cannot continue not recognising Kosovo whilst seeking Kosovo’s market.

“We all are interested for the dialogue, it is necessary, we need to move forward. We need to agree, but we need to sign a framework agreement on what we will agree upon,” Haradinaj said.

Haradinaj made this statement in Pejë/Pec, on the occasion of unveiling of the statue of his brother Shkelzen Haradinaj and inauguration of the obelisk of martyrs.

Fight in LDK sub branch, three arrested

(All monitored broadcasters, RTK)

Kosovo Police arrested three persons in relation with the fight that occurred amongst LDK members at the sub branch in Mat, Prishtinë/Pristina.

This was confirmed to GazetaExpress by Police spokesperson Flora Ahmeti, who explained that upon receiving the report that a disagreement had happened amongst some persons at a school in Matiqan, the Police responded immediately.

The fight occurred after 17:00hrs, when the internal election process at the sub branch began.

After the situation was calmed down, leaders of the LDK sub branch were elected.

Sherif Vrajolli was elected chairman, and Kreshnik Hoxha was elected vice chairman, both of them belonging to Hazir Borovci wing.

The convention had been interrupted because of the fight between supporters of Hazir Borovci and those of Arban Abrashi.

Vrajolli and Hoxha belong to those who were injured as a consequence of the fight.

Vrajolli accused former LDK’s candidate for Prishtinë/Pristina mayor Arban Abrashi of the recent violence in election at LDK sub branches in Prishtinë/Pristina.

According to Vrajolli, Abrashi is working for his personal interests, and to the detriment of the party.

Vrajolli said that the fight began when two members for the working commission were proposed.

Veseli: PDK sets good example even for opponent parties

(All monitored broadcasters, KTV)

Without any opponent, for the second time in a row, Kadri Veseli has been elected chairman of PDK.

Veseli has been elected chairman at ninth PDK election convention, unanimously, with no votes against, and no abstention.

He highlighted that what has been happening in PDK, is an example even for their political opponents.

Veseli added that no-one and nothing will stop PDK in its journey to accomplish the supreme will of those who gave their lives for freedom.

At the opening remarks of the ninth election convention, Veseli said that PDK is always prepared, reformed, and with new energies for serving citizens of Kosovo.

Proposing Veseli’s candidacy, Hajredin Kuçi said that Veseli was the only person who deserves to keep the post.

In the PDK’s ninth convention, members of the working chairmanship were elected, as well.

Civil society refuses to join Negotiation Team

(Klan Kosova)

Considering themselves unequal to other members of the Kosovo Negotiation Team in the dialogue with Serbia, members of civil society have decided not to become part of the Team.

Although the Law on Dialogue, which was passed by the Kosovo Assembly in December last year, has provided a reserved seat for civil society, no-one from civil society has joined the Team yet.

From the beginning, civil society members submitted their remarks concerning the Law on Dialogue, considering it anti-Constitutional.

According to Jeta Krasniqi of the Kosovo Democratic Institute (KDI), the Law on State Delegation lacks a section on selection of civil society members, thus putting them to a different position with other Team members.

“It is not clear, there is no transparency, or the Law does not clearly specify how the selection will be done. In fact, the Law says that they shall be nominated by the two leaders of the Delegation, or if they fail to reach agreement, the other Delegation members shall vote, too. Regardless of how a civil society member is selected at the Delegation, the way how it is provided does not necessarily make sure that the member represents the entire civil society in Kosovo,” Krasniqi stated to Radio Free Europe.

Përparim Kryeziu of the Group for Legal and Political Studies also says that the issues about selection of civil society members begin with the Draft Law. According to him, the way how selection of a member is regulated, automatically makes him/her unequal with other members of the State Delegation, and the civil society member would not have the same weight in the Delegation.

“Whilst members of the State Delegation have been voted in the Assembly, they have been legitimised by the Assembly, and they may be dismissed by the Assembly, civil society member can be selected by the State Delegation. So, the civil society member is selected by the State Delegation, and he/she can be dismissed by the same Delegation. So, the civil society member in the Delegation is not equal with other members,” Kryeziu stated to Radio Free Europe.

Kryeziu says that so far there has not been any willingness to fill this seat.

“The Delegation has been formed with the goal of establishing an inclusive body that provides political and social consensus; therefore, a member of civil society has been invited, at least a member of civil society is provided,” Kryeziu stated.

Jeremic in Kosovo conveys political and nationalist messages

(KTV)

Vuk Jeremic, chairman of the Serbian People’s Party in opposition is paying a visit to Kosovo. On Saturday evening he visited Pasjane, and on Sunday he visited The Decani Monastery, FoNet Serbian news agency reported.

From Pasjane, Jeremic spoke against Kosovo with political and Serbian national messages.

Being in opposition, he used Kosovo from its land to accuse the current Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, who, according to Jeremic, is getting prepared to sell Kosovo.

“Vucic may not reach any agreement on Serbia-Kosovo borders, as that would allow creation of a greater Albania, at latest within 10 years,” he predicted at a meeting with some supporters of his party.

According to Jeremic, Kosovo cannot be independent without Serbia’s signature, and added that Vucic will put the signature in order to extend his power and robbing in Serbia.

Reacting to Jeremic’s visit to Kosovo, Srpska Lista said that Albanians in Anamorava opened their doors and hosted Vuk Jeremic in a restaurant in gjilan/Gnjilane.

It is unknown whether Jeremic’s visit to Pasjane and to Deçan/Decane was paid with or without Kosovo’s permit.

Tadic: Vucic has promised Kosovo to internationals

(KTV)

Former Serbian President Boris Tadic, presently leader of the Social Democratic Party, said that the internationals have been calling on the opposition in Serbia not to disturb the public, because Vucic has promised them Kosovo.

In a statement to Belgrade’s Blic, Tadic said he advocates for creation of two entities in Kosovo for overcoming the frozen conflict. He added that he was not sure when the dispute can be resolved, but what is more important is that the dispute is resolved.

He said that he would never support the solution of those who have come to power through the promise for servility about Kosovo, those to whom the key thing is keeping their own interest rather than the state one.

According to him, Vucic organised the internal dialogue on Kosovo, not for the sake of a real dialogue, but only for the sake of sharing the responsibility for his decisions.

Amfilohije: Vucic is a traitor

(KTV)

Metropolitan of the Serbian Orthodox Church confirmed the article of Montenegro’s Vjesti regarding his conflict with the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, on the verge of Holy Synod of the Serbian Orthodox Church.

“Vucic is a traitor. With his behaviour and his actions, he shows that he will betray Kosovo. I said this, but we have not discussed it, because he does not speak to me in that way. He speaks to me differently,” Amfilohije said.

Commenting on statements of Nikola Selakovic, general secretary of the Serbian President, who had stated that no conflict existed, Amfilohije said that Vucic and his associates speak differently to the public and differently at his presence, Ksp reported.

He reiterated the stance of the Serbian Church about Kosovo, namely that Kosovo is holy, and that they are against Kosovo’s independence and partition.
