The news website reports that Kosovo President Hashim Thaci and PSD leader and co-head of Kosovo’s delegation for talks with Serbia, Shpend Ahmeti, clashed in today’s session of the Kosovo Assembly over secret meetings between Kosovo and Serbia representatives. Thaci mentioned a recent meeting in Berlin between Prime Minister Haradinaj’s associates and Belgrade representatives. Ahmeti then took the floor saying, “I am glad President that you are finally bothered by secret meetings in this case by the Prime Minister, because you too met secretly with Vucic and I am glad that you are bothered because none of you were supposed to hold secret meetings”. Ahmeti went on to say that Kosovo’s isolation is largely due to corruption, organized crime and the lack of economic development. Thaci in his response said he doesn’t want to polemize with Ahmeti. “There was never a secret meeting between the Serbian President and me. There were meetings with international mediation, as you all know. I call on consensus to emerge from isolation and unemployment,” Thaci said.
