The news website reports on a reception held today in Pristina on the occasion of the Egyptian National Day – July 24. At the reception it was said that Kosovo leads in the region in terms of respecting communities’ rights. Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj said despite the integration of the Egyptian community in the institutions, more works needs to be done in terms of housing, employment and other areas. “We stand united … What Kosovo is today we have created this together, we have reached freedom together too,” Haradinaj was quoted as saying. OSCE Head of Mission, Jan Braathu said that despite difficulties, Kosovo has achieved progress in terms of communities’ rights. “The OSCE works with all communities in Kosovo, including the Egyptian community. We work on the implementation of the Constitution and the legislation of Kosovo. These two provide the best in terms of protecting communities’ rights. At times the implementation process can be challenging, but the legislation is excellent, and all of us need to make sure it is implemented properly,” Braathu said.
