The Prime Minister of Kosovo Ramush Haradinaj met today the German delegation headed by the European Parliament Vice-President Rainer Wieland. They discussed the recent political developments in Kosovo and the region as well as possibility of increase of cooperation between Kosovo and Germany.

Haradinaj informed the German delegation about the priorities of the government, with a special focus on economic development and opening of new working places, fulfillment of reforms in general as well as those for visa liberalisation, strengthening of the rule of law as well as the significant processes that Kosovo is currently going through.

They also discussed visa liberalization, Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic path, strengthening Kosovo’s statehood internationally as well as reach of a final, legally binding agreement between Kosovo and Serbia which results with mutual recognition and which would contribute to the regional stability as well as open perspective of European integration for both Kosovo and Serbia.

Haradinaj expressed gratitude to Wieland and German state for continuous support of Kosovo during all periods and requested increase of cooperation in the fields of education, economic development and politics.

“The EP Vice-President Rainer Wieland is the proof of friendship and our orientation for a sustainable and long-term partnership with Germany. His visit to Kosovo, with a delegation of CDU’s political representatives from Baden Wuerttemberg, entrepreneurs and experts in education, is the prof of our commitment to advance this partnership,’ Said Haradinaj.

He added that the experience of exchange students through the “Edu cation Unlimited” and other programs of this nature, brought a good opportunity for Kosovo students, to advance further in their education and other opportunities of academic future. Haradinaj said the government of Kosovo is committed to continue with cooperation in education as well as in the fields of economy and politics.

European Parliament Vice-President Rainer Wieland and German delegation valued cooperation between Kosovo and Germany promising further support for Kosovo in economic aspect as well as Euro-Atlantic perspective.
