Kosovo’s Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli said at Crans-Montana Forum in Geneva that Kosovo, with its 20 year constructive role in the region, is ready to become part of the United Nations.
Pacolli used the Forum to address Spanish delegation by saying that Kosovo’s case is in no way related to Catalonia. “Because we emerged from a long-period of colonial oppression, which culminated with genocide in 1999.”
During his speech, Pacolli informed the audience about the progress in Kosovo since declaration of independence, recognized by 116 countries as well as by the International Court of Justice.
He invited African countries that have not recognized independence of Kosovo yet, to do so and establish cooperative relations in all fields.
“This year, Crans-Montana Forum with our initiative will be held in Pristina, transforming Kosovo into a global address of peace and dialogue among different state and social actors throughout the Worlds,” Pacolli said.
