Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj said today that Kosovo’s main objective and vision is to join NATO and that “it is important for international friends to have faith in Kosovo”. During a change of command at the NATO Advisory and Liaison Team (NALT), Haradinaj said: “It is important that our friends have faith in us. We not only trust you, but we see you as our own people. We see KFOR as our army. Kosovo’s objective and vision is to join your family and we will never stop working in this direction. We appreciate the mission of NALT as an important bridgeway between Kosovo and NATO”. NALT outgoing head, General Uwe Becker, said although a lot has been achieved in terms of the development of the Kosovo Security Force, more work remains to be done for the full transformation of the force. “We had an excellent working relationship during our mandate, and this was the development of the KSF. Although a lot has been achieved, the transformation is a complex process that requires patience and engagement and this is the right path toward the future,” Becker said.
