North Serbs happy about reopening of shops, they say they buy Serbian products only

(KTV)

All shops in northern Kosovo have been reopened, following a two day protest against the tariff imposed by the Kosovo Government on Serbian products.

In Mitrovica/Mitrovicë north, citizens have returned to normality and went out to shops to obtain food supplies, following reopening of the shops on Wednesday morning.

Citizens, and a few business employees who accepted to speak up, say that Serb residents want Serbian products only, and they want suspension of the tariff imposed by the Kosovo Government.

Minister of Trade and Industry Endrit Shala stated that reopening of the businesses in north was a result of the Kosovo Government’s performance. On the other hand, Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj said that normality is being restored in the north.

However, it has been reported that it was foreign diplomats who intervened in order to restore the normality.

“The purpose of this meeting was coordination of police actions in regard to the recent developments in the northern part of the country, cooperation and coordination of activities of the regional police directors, Border Police, and other units, in order to provide safety to all citizens of the country without any difference, by ensuring full functionality in the law enforcement,” the press release says.

The meeting participants also emphasised the importance of carrying out police tasks professionally, in order to keep peace and order, and to ensure freedom of movement, without allowing security threat against any citizen or against police officers while carrying out their legal police duties.

The meeting was concluded with the pledge for commitment by all participants in fulfilling their police duties and obligations that are in the interest of citizens and the country.

Tahiri: vucic sheltering murderers of Ivanovic

(RTK)

The Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that Serbia has been seriously investigating the murder of Oliver Ivanovic. According to him, the Serbian side knows the name of the murderer, whereas the Kosovo side has no clue who murdered Ivanovic.

On the other hand, the Kosovo Minister of Justice Abelard Tahiri stated to lajmi.net that the Kosovo institutions have continuously worked in shedding light on Ivanovic’s murder.

“As an institution, we have worked in continuity, and we have not reached the end of investigations yet. It is a matter of the Prosecution Office, it is a matter of police investigators to do their job, and they have continuously been greatly committed,” Tahiri said.

Tahiri added that those persons wanted by the Kosovo authorities to be brought before justice, such as Milan Radoicic, are currently sheltered by the Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.

“The Kosovo justice has asked for them to be brought to the Republic of Kosovo to give their testimonies; they are already on the lam, kept in Serbia, sheltered by the Serbian President,” Tahiri underlined.

According to Tahiri, Serbia has ceased its cooperation with the Kosovo institutions since the time when those names were mentioned.

“Serbia has not cooperated with the Republic of Kosovo in this respect. It is worth mentioning that they were cooperative until the point when we came across those names; once we came across those names, everything from their side has been blocked. Therefore, I think that Serbia is responsible and it should cooperate with Kosovo in providing the information that we have requested about Oliver Ivanovic’s murder,” Tahiri added.

Ahmeti assures Haradinaj not to overthrow Government with votes of Srpska Lista

(Klan Kosova)

On Wednesday, Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj visited the mayor of Prishtinë/Pristina Shpend Ahmeti, who is also the leader of PSD.

Ahmeti admitted that together with other opposition parties, they have been discussing to introduce a no confidence motion; nevertheless, he assured the Prime Minister that they are not interested to bring down the Government with votes of Srpska Lista.

“We are not interested to overthrow the Government with Srpska Lista, I have told this the Prime Minister, and I am saying it publically, too. At the time when there is the tariff, the discussions with Serbia, and when a final solution is discussed, I believe it is not good to pull the rug from under the Government’s feet with somebody that decides in Belgrade whether this Government should be overthrown or not,” Ahmeti said.

But Haradinaj, who denies to be afraid of early elections, pledges that he will work hard until then.

Haradinaj and Limaj: Establishment of Negotiation Team wasn’t wrong

(KTV)

The Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj said that establishment of the Negotiation Team was not a mistake, despite the fact that it has been found unconstitutional by the Constitutional Court.

According to Haradinaj, several countries have established similar bodies.

On the other hand, co-chair of the Negotiation Team Fatmir Limaj, said that the Team has ceased to exist not because of the Constitutional Court’s decision, but because the PSD quit it.

In an interview with KTV Rubicon show, Limaj said that after the Constitutional Court’s decision, they still have not met with the Coalition partners.

Last week, the Constitutional Court found that the Negotiation Team, led by Fatmir Limaj and Shpend Ahmeti, was unconstitutional. Right after the decision, Ahmeti and other PSD members quit the Team.
