Representatives of the Kosovo Democratic Institute (KDI) said at today’s press conference that the Constitutional Court’s verdict on the constitutionality of the Law on State Delegation marks a turning point in the dialogue process as all dilemmas have been removed regarding the role and responsibilities of constitutional institutions in the field of foreign policy.
“The dialogue process should be resume under the leadership of the country’s prime minister and under the regular supervision of the Kosovo Assembly. The Prime Minister and the President should consult, and function coordinated within their constitutional responsibilities, leaving behind political clashes about representation in the process. The dialogue process needs to be developed on the basis of ‘red lines’, which should guarantee there will be no affection of territorial integrity of Kosovo, unitary state operation, completed status of Kosovo as an independent and sovereign state, and sovereignty of Kosovo as a state with full and equal rights in the international arena ,” emphasizes KDI.
