Kosovo Assembly committee for human rights, gender equality, missing persons and petitions hosted the homologue delegation from the Republic of North Macedonia.
Duda Balje, head of this committee said they also discussed issues which do not concern human rights.
“We have concluded that we as Kosovo, are leader of the communities’ human rights in the region. Except for the human rights, we discussed also issues such as infrastructure, opening of some border points between Kosovo and Macedonia North,” Balje said.
North Macedonia delegation was headed by Fadil Zendeli, chairman of this committee. He said it is an obligation for North Macedonia to respect human rights considering the remarks received from the international institutions.
Within this context, we should exchange opinions, positive experiences that we have as two committees in fighting and defending human rights, gender equality, economic cooperation and cooperation on health care. Both North Macedonia and Kosovo aim approximation with NATO union,” Zeneli said.
