Opposition parties are working on a no-confidence motion against the Haradinaj-led government and according to a representative of the Vetevendosje Movement (VV), one of the biggest opposition parties, there are MPs in the ruling coalition that could vote in favour of the motion. VV MP Rexhep Selimi told KTV: “there are people in the ruling coalition that are willing to vote in favour of the [no-confidence] motion. I am not referring to the Serbian List, but to MPs from the PAN [PDK-AAK-NISMA] coalition. They are not members of the AAK. They are different MPs that wish well for Kosovo,” Selimi said. “We would have supported the current government if there were good actions, just like we did for the Army and the tariff on Serbian goods. We are not jealous of the Prime Minister, but we cannot remain silent seeing the high-level corruption and seeing them supporting nepotism”. According to Selimi, local and international stakeholders in Kosovo agree that there will be early elections this autumn. “Everyone agrees that autumn will bring about a new dynamic, and elections cannot be ruled out. I am quite confident that there will be elections this year. Elections cannot be delayed more than three months from now,” he added.
