Albania’s former Ambassador at the UN Agim Nesho, said while commenting statements of the Prime Minister of North Macedonia Zoran Zaev about a secret plan to divide territories, that such scenario would open Pandora’s box, and it would increase Russia’s and Turkey’s impact in the region. Nesho said Albania’s Prime Minister Edi Rama was behind orchestration of this idea, which according to him is part of Russia’s and Turkey’s secret project.

“Prime Minister Zaev rightfully stressed that this scenario was important to create dangerous precedents in the Balkans and that its consequences would be felt in Bosnia and Herzegovina and North Macedonia. Luckily, this notorious plan produced in Serbia and supported in Russia, received deadly blow of the European super powers such as Germany, Great Britain and France, which not only rejected the plan, but through the “Berlin Summit” tried to also give a rational solution for the resumption of the dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo,” Nesho said.

“This notorious plan against national interests and reopening of an already closed issue such as the one of the Republic of Kosovo found support of President Thaci, an already consumed figure who thinks that he is the owner of Kosovo and can represent sovereignty of the country. His actions appear to be encouraged, controlled and in service of personal interests. The Parliament of Kosovo intelligently corrected this situation, which based on the zeal of its initiators, seems to be still alive as a process,” he added.
