The Specialist Chambers and the Office of the Specialist Prosecutor of Kosovo did not offer information in their electronic response to Telegrafi about the investigation, due to professional, legal and ethical reasons.
According to them, the Specialist Prosecutor’s Office (SPO) is investigating serious cross-border and international crimes, including war crimes and crimes against humanity, as defined by international law and set forth in the Special Law on Specialist Chambers and Specialist Prosecution.
“The SPO, inter alia, has the authority to request the presence and interrogation of suspects, victims and witnesses, to collect and review information and evidence and to take decisions for the initiation and continuation or termination of criminal proceedings,” says their response.
