The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) will not accept to become part of any technical government after the resignation of the Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj.

LDK caucus Avdullah Hoti said his political party has continuously requested new elections ‘as the former government had lost legitimacy.’

“No, absolutely not. It has been more than a year that we have been requesting new democratic elections due to the former government’s loss of legitimacy, and in order for the citizens to give mandate to a political party, give mandate to the people that should lead Kosovo. There is no technical government, only free elections.”

“The government is in resignation, however the government has to commence all the duties foreseen with the Constitution and laws until the election of the new government, after the elections. I do not know when will the President invite the political parties on required consultations that should happen in order to set the election date, but I expect from the President to act in accordance with the Constitution and follow procedures foreseen in these cases.” Hoti said.
