Several news websites report that Kosovo President Hashim Thaci took to Facebook this morning to commemorate the eighth anniversary of the killing of Kosovo Police special unit member Enver Zymberi, who was killed in 2011 during an operation in the northern part of Kosovo. Thaci wrote: “It has been eight years since the heroic fall of Enver Zymberi. His fall in the defense of the sovereignty of the Republic of Kosovo ruined once and for all Serbia’s ambitions to create a Republika Srpska in our country. We bow to the heroic act of Enver Zymberi – a hero of free Kosovo!”
