Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) deputy leader, Ahmet Isufi, said in an interview to Ekonomia Online today that his party prefers a pre-election coalition with the Social Democratic Initiative (NISMA) and the Social Democratic Party of Kosovo (PSD). “We have initially said we will run alone in the elections but if there is a need for coalitions then we will run with parties with which we already had a joint engagement, such as NISMA and also the PSD because of their constructive approach, especially in adopting important laws for Kosovo. We will also see in the coming days the orientation of other parties that would like to join a coalition with the Alliance. We don’t have any red lines for other parties, but we are closer to some parties compared to others,” he said. Isufi also said that AAK leader and outgoing Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj is the best candidate for the post of Prime Minister, “because during his two-year mandate he has proved he is a statesman that makes important decisions and goes against interests that can weaken Kosovo’s position”.
