LDK prefers to enter elections alone, PSD wants VV and Nisma

(KTV)

The potential holding of early elections in autumn has set political parties in motion, making calculations for possible coalitions, but also for the red lines.

Although it has been a while since they have strengthened their cooperation in opposition, LDK and Vetëvendosje, however, are still divided on their possible cooperation prior to elections.

Vetëvendosje Movement says that LDK-VV pre-election coalition would ensure victory in the early elections.

The MP of this party, Albulena Haxhiu, said that regardless of the cooperation with LDK, they do not give up the Prime Minister’s post for their leader – Albin Kurti.

LDK does not exclude the post-electoral coalition with VV, but they think of entering elections alone.

The Social Democratic Party (PSD), on the other hand, has urged everyone to give up their conditionings with the Prime Minister’s post.

PSD MP Dardan Sejdiu told KTV Interactive show that it would be good to have unification of the left-wing parties in these elections, namely PSD-VV-Nisma.

Dissolution of the Assembly is expected to happen on August 22, while early elections will be held at the end of September, eventually in early October.

Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) chairman Kadri Veseli said his party does not support a technical government and that elections are the only way out of the crisis.

Veseli, who holds the Assembly Speaker’s post, said that PDK has twice given the post of Prime Minister to other parties, as he said – for rent, and that this will not happen in these elections.

In a longer interview with Radio Free Europe, Veseli qualified the current legislature irresponsible.

He said that he is openly talking about the mistakes his party has made. “I am correcting the mistakes made by the Democratic Party of Kosovo,” Veseli highlighted.

In the meantime, AAK Secretary General Besnik Tahiri replied to Assembly Speaker Kadri Veseli, following his statements that PDK “has twice given the post of Prime Minister for rent.”

In a Facebook post, Tahiri wrote: “We do not give the Republic, or the territory for rent.”

Hoxhaj: PDK does not negotiate Prime Minister’s post

(RTK)

In an interview with T7 TV, Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo Enver Hoxhaj said that PDK does not negotiate the Prime Minister’s post.

Hoxhaj said that the Democratic Party of Kosovo is not negotiating the post of Prime Minister, saying they have their party leader who will be the candidate for Prime Minister.

“We do not make a millimetre of compromise on the Prime Minister’s post. We will have the party leader, who will be the candidate for Prime Minister,” Hoxhaj underlined.

Tomor Morina will not be extradited to Serbia

(KTV &RTK)

The Court representatives add that the case will be referred to the Supreme Court for further consideration. In the meantime, Morina will remain in detention pending a decision by the Supreme Court on the case.
