The Supreme Court of North Macedonia has confirmed the decision of the Criminal Court in Skopje not to extradite Tomor Morina, former member of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), to Serbia.

“The Supreme Court of the Republic of North Macedonia announces that on 14 August 2019 it decided on the case no. 30/2019 confirming the decision of the Criminal Council of the Sector for organised crime and corruption in the Criminal Court in Skopje KIOK-KS no. 252/19 of 07.08.2019, that decided that legal provisions for extraditing T.M., national of United Kingdom and Republic of Kosovo, have not been met,” a statement issued by the Supreme Court said.

The ruling is now expected to be forwarded to the Ministry of Justice which will prepare the final decision for refusing the extradition request by Serbia.
