The news website reports that early parliamentary elections are expected to cause delays in the dialogue with Serbia and they could also postpone the Paris Summit which was scheduled to be held in September. Sources in the Kosovo government told Telegrafi that there are currently no developments in this regard. “There is no movement. We don’t expect anything concrete at this point,” the source said. The news website also quotes political commentator Avni Mazreku as saying that the upcoming elections should legitimise Kosovo’s representative in the talks with Serbia. “All political parties have agreed that elections are the only way to create new and democratic mechanisms,” he said. “At this point, Kosovo does not have legitimate representatives that would have the constitutional capacity to represent it at that level. Kosovo needs to wait until the election of new legitimate representatives for the dialogue with Serbia”.
