Several media outlets are quoting Kosovapress reports saying that the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) and the Social Democratic Initiative (PSD) will officially announce their pre-election coalition today at 3 p.m.
The coalition is expected to be announced at a joint press conference between AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj and PSD’s Shpend Ahmeti.
PSD steering council held a meeting today and while no statements to the media were made, Kosovapress quotes sources saying the party endorsed a coalition with AAK.
AAK leadership also met today and its leader Haradinaj said they agreed to enter a pre-election coalition with PSD. “Pre-election coalition agreement with PSD received majority of votes in favour and two abstentions,” he said.
Gazeta Express is reporting that the agreement between the two parties stipulates that PSD will have 25 candidates running for seats at the Assembly of Kosovo while Insajderi says that the joint ticket will be led by Haradinaj, followed by Ahmeti.
