Lawmakers in Kosovo have voted to disband parliament, clearing the way for President Hashim Thaci to call early general elections following the resignation of Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj.
“The parliament decided to dissolve the sixth legislature of the assembly,” Parliamentary Speaker Kadri Veseli announced after 89 lawmakers from 120 voted in favor of the dissolution of the assembly at an extraordinary session on August 22.
