Head of Central Election Commission (CEC) Valdete Daka told Ekonomia Online news website that they have begun preparations for organizing early elections following yesterday’s decision of MPs to dissolve the Assembly.
“We have begun preparations although there is no [election] date yet. Once we get the date we will start meaningful preparations,” she said adding that once the President of Kosovo announces elections the CEC will submit to the outgoing government request for allocation of funds.
“We do not yet have an exact amount specified because we are finalizing assessment and only when we have the date, we will be able to know the cost of elections.”
