Ambassador of China to Serbia Chen Bo said the stance of China on Kosovo and Metohija is clear and consistent, adding that China respects the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia as well as “understands and supports legitimate Serbia’s request in this regard,” Radio KIM reports.
“We think the best way to resolve the Kosovo and Metohija issue is within the UN SC Resolution 1244 framework and other relevant resolutions and that interested parties through the dialogue reach mutually acceptable solution. We appreciate the efforts of the Serbian side in finding a compromise solution through the dialogue, Ambassador Bo told Belgrade-based Politika daily.
She also noted that Serbia is the first among central and eastern European countries and the only country in the Balkans with which China has established a comprehensive strategic partnership.
