The stabbing of a young boy in Mitrovica North is beyond doubts an inter-ethnic incident and those responsible for this cowardly attack should be urgently brought before the justice, Office for Kosovo and Metohija Director Marko Djurc said, BETA news agency reports.
This is yet another in a series of attacks against Serbian people in Kosovo and Metohija, aiming to intimidate them, and we are also convinced it is about politically inspired event, Office for Kosovo and Metohija said in a statement.
“We have been warning for weeks that pre-election campaign in Kosovo and Metohija would be used for the political and any other hunt against the Serbs,” the statement added.
The Office also urged “the international community and its representatives to do their utmost to stop the trend of radicalization of the Albanian society and its open move towards the chauvinism”.
Srpska Lista official Igor Simic and Aleksandar Spiric chair of the Municipal Interim Council in Mitrovica North condemned the incident as well.
