Kosovo’s outgoing Prime Minister, Ramush Haradinaj, accused the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) and the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) today of seizing the state, the news website reports. Haradinaj said that the PDK in particular must be held accountable for bringing Kosovo to this point. “They need to be held accountable for seizing the state,” he said. Haradinaj also commented on the number of KLA war veterans saying that he will not allow anyone to step on their values. He also said he does not believe the number of 60,000 war veterans is accurate. “I don’t know if there are 60,000 veterans; is there a report that says this, because as far as I know there are 35,000 veterans,” he added. Haradinaj also said his party, the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), will not allow persons with active indictments to run for parliament, and called on all political parties to do follow suit.
