President of Kosovo Hashim Thaci met at the sidelines of the UN General Assembly underway in New York the Vatican State Secretary Pietro Parolin and said that recognition of Kosovo by the Holy See would contribute to peace and stability in the region and Europe.
“People of Kosovo have always been led by the values of Saint Tereza, values such as tolerance, peace and cohabitation. We are grateful for the support that the Holy See has given to the people of Kosovo. The sole thing that is left is the recognition from the Vatican,” Thaci is quoted in a press release issued by his cabinet.
