The pre-election campaign for the upcoming extraordinary parliamentary elections in Kosovo began at midnight.

North Mitrovica is covered with the Srpska Lista posters which focus on the ballot number 135 and the name of the party. At the same time, the Freedom (Sloboda) coalition started its campaign in the North today, but with a different approach. One of the coalition’s two independent candidates, Rada Trajkovic visited the site of Oliver Ivanovic’s murder this morning.

”With this act, the Freedom coalition is demanding, on its own behalf and on behalf of all citizens, a definitive answer to the question of who said – execute him, who ordered the political assassination of Oliver Ivanovic. We should not let it be forgotten, we should not let anyone else pay with their lives for fighting for an organized society,” the Freedom coalition wrote in a statement yesterday, announcing Trajkovic’s visit to the murder site.

The media and observers from the EU Election Observation Mission covered this visit. A police patrol was also present on the scene.
Trajkovic apologized to the Ivanovic family, mentioning their refusal to allow the use of Oliver Ivanovic’s name in the election campaign.

”They have to understand, that Oliver, after his vicious assassination, is no longer just theirs. Oliver belongs to all people who despise crime and seek justice and freedom,” Trajkovic emphasized.

She once again criticized the Serbian authorities for ”slowing down the investigation” and protecting persons the Kosovo investigation authorities suspect of being involved in Ivanovic’s murder.

She also announced that the SDP premises would be transformed into the ”Oliver Ivanovic” Memorial Complex, which will gather young people in search of freedom.
