President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, attended on Tuesday the reception organised by the President of the United States of America, for the participants of the United Nations General Assembly, during which he was received by the President Trump and the First Lady, Melania Trump.
“During this brief meeting with President Trump, Thaçi expressed his appreciation for the support that the U.S. President and nation have continuously provided to the nation and the state of Kosovo.
President Thaçi added that the support of the United States of America was determinative for the nation of Kosovo, initially for the survival and later on for the enlivening of the aspirations for freedom and independence,” informs a press communique issued by the Office of the President.
Thaci reportedly stated that the continuation of the U.S. comprehensive support is essential for the preservation of peace and stability in the western Balkans and in the whole of Europe.
Thaçi during his stay in New York has had a considerable number of meetings in order to advance the agenda for the expansion of bilateral cooperation.
