Kosovo’s outgoing Prime Minister, Ramush Haradinaj, took to Facebook today to comment on the 28th anniversary of the referendum for Kosovo’s independence, saying that a similar referendum will be held on October 6. “On September 26, 1991, the people of Kosovo responded en masse to the referendum on the independence of the country. This historic act sealed our people’s will to live free and independent. Now, 28 years later, the upcoming elections are a referendum that we will not allow our borders and sovereignty to be touched,” Haradinaj wrote.
