Valmir Elezi, spokesperson of Kosovo’s Central Election Commission (CEC) has reacted to the statement of Serbia’s Director of the Office for Kosovo Marko Djuric, who accused Kosovo officials for discrimination of Serbs during the election campaign. “I call on all Kosovo Serbs who are in the voters’ lists, to use their right to vote, no matter what kind of documentation they possess,” Djuric reportedly said.
“The CEC decision is very clear: To vote on October 6, the voter must have with him, for identification, any of the following four documents of the Republic of Kosovo: 1. Valid ID card; 2. Valid passport; 3. Valid travel document, and 4. Valid driving license. This decision is valid for every member of the polling station council and for every Municipal Election Commission in all municipalities of the Republic of Kosovo,” said CEC spokesman Valmir Elezi.
