The Kosovo-based Council for Defence of Human Rights and Freedoms (CDHRF) issued a statement to the media regarding 6 October early parliamentary elections which it says were “well-organised” and “very well-monitored” despite the short preparation time.
CDHRF commended the voter turnout which this year was higher than in previous 2017 elections. “CDHRF considers a positive aspect the fact that non-winning parties have not disputed elections results which creates an easier situation for the formation of new institutions.”
CDHRF said it expects new institutions to be formed as soon as possible and called for greater involvement of marginalized groups.
