The Defense Ministry said on Thursday that Serbian soldiers prevented illegal logging in an area along the administrative border of Kosovo.
A press release said that Army of Serbia (VS) troops stopped several people from cutting down trees in the Lukovske Banje area. Men in three tractors were dragging felled trees across the border and opened fire at the soldiers while escaping across the boundary line, it said and added that no one was injured in the incident,
The VS will continue securing the administrative line and securing the Ground Safety Zone to maintain peace and provide security for all citizens of Serbia, the ministry said.
