Rexhep Selimi, member of the Vetevendosje Movement which won the highest number of votes in the snap parliamentary elections, said in an interview to the news website today that people voted for change and trusted Vetevendosje. “The citizens of Kosovo brought about the change, and not because they did not want this to happen earlier, but this time have made it very clear what is the address of change. The Vetevendosje Movement remains the address of positive change in Kosovo and the address of hope that something in this country will change for the better,” he said. Selimi said talks between Vetevendosje and the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) never stopped. “We had continuous talks, even before the elections in efforts to reach a pre-election coalition with a set majority. Circumstances however were such that we ran separately in the elections. We came out as the first political party, but we never stopped the talks”. Selimi also ruled out any possible cooperation with the Serbian List. “We respect the Serb community in Kosovo, but the Serbian List remains a parallel institution of Serbia in Kosovo and I don’t see any cooperation with them,” he added.
