First Assembly of the European Investors Council (EIC) was held on Thursday in Pristina, attended by ambassadors of European Union member states, representatives of key local and international organizations and diplomatic guests.

Honorary Members of the Council, Samuel Zbogar, Head of the European Union Office in Kosovo and Anton Kobakov, chief of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Office in Kosovo commended the Council’s contribution given so far, calling it as the best opportunity for a healthy economy in Kosovo. Zbogar said, “In our first meeting last year we discussed possibilities for a better organization of European investors in Kosovo. We were considering the best options to establish a body that will be able to provide self-help and advocacy about best practices for doing business in Kosovo. Today, this body has taken its final form. European Investment Council offers help and advice to others, including the government. I want to emphasize once again our full support to the Council of European Investors.”

Kobakov said that the European Investors Council will help create a more suitable environment for foreign investors through advocating interest of foreign investors.
