Homes of returnees burglarized in village Bica near Klina/Kline (KIM radio)

The unidentified perpetrators have broken into returnees’ houses last night, two houses and a shelter for accommodation of returnees in Bica, near Klina, said member of the municipality of Klina/Kline, Stojan Doncic and BETA agency reported.

He said that in one nurse lives in a house, but that last night she slept in the house of his family, while the other house and home for temporary accommodation of returnees were empty at the time of burglary.

As stated by Doncic, thieves have broken into the house and took “some small things”. The Kosovo Police has conducted the investigation.

“Of the 42 houses in our village, 40 were broken into in the past. Only two homes were not burglarized, since in them constantly live mine and another returnee family,” said Doncic to BETA, adding that this is the fifth incident in the past month.

By 1999, there were 160 households in Bica, with about 700 Serbs. Kosovo Government with donors has built 42 houses and in 2002 about 200 displaced Serbs have returned, and today lives around 10.
