(Most monitored broadcaster, KTV)

Kosovo is still suffering the consequences of the failed privatisation process of PTK in 2013, KTV reports.

Kosovo Government needs to allocate EUR 200,000 for Kosovo’s representation in the International Court to deal with the charges filed by Axos Capital against Kosovo following the failure to privatise PTK.

Axos filed charges against Kosovo at the International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes, after the Government of Kosovo retracted at the last moment the negotiated agreement for privatisation of PTK, which was awarded to Axos.

In the regular meeting of the Government, besides the allocation of funds for Kosovo representation, Kosovo PM Isa Mustafa also commended the recent amendment of the fiscal package which entered into force on 01 September. Mustafa said that businesses will also profit from the new fiscal package. He also announced that the Government is working to abolish the taxes for medicines and pledged to quickly submit this law to the Assembly.

The Government also adopted the draft-law for Kosovo Foreign Service.

(Most monitored broadcasters, KTV)

Vetëvendosje   considers that the Agreement on the Association on Municipalities with Serb majority gives Serbia full rights to control municipalities with Serb majority and leads Kosovo towards federalisation.

Ahmet Isufi from AAK and Xhevat Bislimi from NISMA and several representatives of civil society shared similar opinions during a round table organised by Vetëvendosje regarding this matter.

The opposition parties aim to jointly oppose the implementation of this agreement and also anticipate support from the civil society.

Meanwhile, the Association will be opposed by the civil society however they don’t know if they will support the opposition by protests.

On the other hand, a protest to oppose the Association has been called for Saturday, but it remains unclear who has initiated the call.

Meanwhile, a protest has been announced by the opposition parties but it remains uncertain if it will be organized whereas the opposition parties discussed about potential ideas to oppose the agreement, KTV reported.

Vetëvendosje considers Mustafa’s justice as selective

(Most monitored broadcasters, KTV)

Kosovo judicial showed its utmost efficiency in the recent case of threats made against Besnik Mustafa the son of Prime Minister Isa Mustafa, and against the minister of Labour Arban Abrashi.

Within three days, Alban Morina from Klinë/Klina municipality, has been arrested and sentenced for making threats to execute minister Abrashi and Besnik Mustafa, KTV reports.

Police, Prosecution and the Court demonstrated to be supper efficient in ‘protecting from threats’ a minister and the son of a PM. This mobilisation of justice institutions is applauded also by those that have been threatened tens of times.

For the journalist, Artan Haraqija, this case demonstrates that Kosovo has become a private state for the people of politics.  He recalls the numerous cases he received threats and reported to the Police but as he said the cases were never solved.

Also the former MP, Burim Ramadani, counts the cases when received threats, while he stresses that police were efficient, whereas the cases were stalled on the other rings of the justice system. According to him, if the justice would be efficient in other case as in this case, there would not be backlog in the Courts.

Meanwhile, Vetëvendosje issued a press release accusing Prime Minister Isa Mustafa of applying selective justice.

“Few days ago, Vetëvendosje MP Fisnik Ismajli was threatened publicly by police officer Ramiz Hoti, but no one took any action regarding this case. A while ago, Samet Uka, another police officer, threatened Vetëvendosje MP Albin Kurti, but no one took any action regarding this case as well,” the press release reads.
