KFOR ready to intervene if required (KIM radio, Kontakt plus radio)

The KFOR Commander, Major General Guglielmo Luigi Miglietta, met yesterday Vucina Jankovic, Mayor of Zvecan/Zveqan.

General Miglietta and Mayor of Zvecan/Zveqan discussed the current situation in Kosovo with specific focus on the North.

Jankovic expressed to Miglietta appreciation and gratitude for the impartial and effective posture of KFOR in maintaining a safe and secure environment and freedom of movement for all the people. The mayor remarked also that KFOR is one of the most trusted Institutions in Kosovo.

General Miglietta assured the mayor that “KFOR will continue to provide a secure environment in the North and in the rest of Kosovo, ready to intervene as third security responder if required”.

KFOR Commander periodically meets with municipal stakeholders as part of the comprehensive approach to the overall security situation of Kosovo.
