Ljubomir Marić, Minister of Local Self-Government, said that today was the deadline for the French-Andorran consortium to submit the necessary bank guarantees for the previously signed contract for the construction of ski centre in Brezovica.
Under the contract, the consortium MDP Consulting should provide 163 million euros to build a new ski centre in Brezovica.
According to Marić, the Kosovo Ministry of Trade and Industry, which manages the project, informed that some of the documentation was submitted and an expert committee was formed, whose members are representatives of all ministries that make up the inter-ministerial group.
As Marić says, now they are waiting for the opinion of the group and wonders why the consortium was waiting for the last day for the submission of documents.
Marić says that if this investment fails, proposal will be to expand the capacity and to provide the new and safe investor, who would be from the environment.
Marić is convinced that the story of Brezovica can be successful and that this ski resort can be among the top ski resorts in the region.
