The Serbian Foreign Ministry asked some countries to reinforce security of Serbian diplomatic offices which, according to security information, are potential targets of Albanian terrorists. Diplomats in those embassies have received precise instructions from Belgrade about raising precautionary measures to the highest level.
In Switzerland, Turkey, Germany, Italy, and Belgium was requested to increase security of embassies and residences, where according to security information may occur attacks on the Serbian network of diplomatic and consular missions, with a request to possibly provide a special protection to the family members of diplomats.
Foreign Minister Ivica Dačić warned on Monday that, according to security information, the Albanian Diaspora planned takeover of one of Serbian diplomatic and consular missions in the US or Europe in order to force Serbia to abandon the request for Haradinaj’s trial, and this information was received, according to him, from a Western security agency of a great country.
