KoSSev reports that Radio Free Europe was told that bus companies, which operate between Serbia, Kosovo and FYROM, were informed that Kosovo does not recognize passports issued to Kosovo Serbs by the Coordination Directorate of the Serbian Ministry of Interior.

According to KoSSev the competent institutions of Kosovo have not confirmed this information yet, per unofficial information obtained from relevant institutions in Belgrade, in the last few days, arrived “a small number” of complaints about problems of the passengers with Serbian documents at the crossings with Kosovo.

“In recent days we have received information on several cases recorded in different shifts at the gates Končulj and Merdare that police officers from Kosovo were returning travellers with Serbian ID cards. I’m talking about five or six cases and all of them had a problem with ID cards, rather than with passports. It is about people whose residence in Kosovo is stated in their ID cards,” told a source from the government in Belgrade for KoSSev.

According to the source of KoSSev, the Belgrade institutions have asked EULEX to investigate these cases, and at the crossings with Kosovo there are no such problems any more.
