The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) candidate for mayor of Istog, Gani Dreshaj, said he plans to appeal against the decision of the Election Complaints and Appeals Panel (ECAP) for a revote in the municipality. Dreshaj, whom the runoff election results showed as winner, said he strongly believes the Supreme Court will overturn ECAP ruling and decide in his favour. He said a revote was unnecessary and that it was strange how his counter candidate from the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Haki Rugova, never asked for a recount of ballots but instead demanded revote.
