Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Ivica Dacic told reporters before the session of the Socialists Party of Serbia (SPS) that removal of Ramush Haradinaj from Interpol warrant does not mean that warrant against him is withdrawn, and Serbia will use all legal means to correct that, RTS reports today.

-These people were taken off the list, based on UNMIK’s request, because it represents Kosovo, since Kosovo is not a member of Interpol. From the other hand, this does not mean that the warrants have been withdrawn against them, we will use all legal remedies to correct this, Dacic told reporters.

During the weekend, the Serbian media reported on the allegations that Interpol had abolished the warrant issued by the authorities of Serbia for Ramush Haradinaj, the prime minister of Kosovo. State officials of Serbia reacted to these allegations.

On the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia, the announcement states that the Ministry would send an initiative to the Ministry of Justice and the War Crimes Prosecutor’s Office in order to file an appeal against Interpol’s decision to place the warrant ‘out off force’, which was issued against Ramush Haradinaj and 17 other persons, by authorities of Serbia for war crimes.
