Chairperson of the Assembly Committee for Kosovo and Metohija, Milovan Drecun told TV N1, Serbs in Kosovo did not give up on ZSO, but decided to wait since Pristina made a political manoeuvre.
Management Team for ZSO Statute Pristina is establishing is not in accordance with Brussels agreement, Drecun said, therefore the ZSO Statute would be in contradiction to that agreement as well.
According to Drecun, the situation in which Albanians in Pristina draft a political platform would completely close the door to normalization of relations, as they request the dialogue to enter the final stage that could only end, in Albanian opinion, with Serbia recognizing Kosovo.
Drecun also said that continuation of talks in Brussels is uncertain since “Pristina wishes to raise tensions and divert us from reaching any kind of solution.”
Drecun added, Belgrade clearly said it will neither recognize Kosovo nor open it a door to the UN, however Belgrade is ready to sit at the table and talk. He said it seems to him, the EU has no foreign policy when it comes to Kosovo, and in fact follows whatever comes from Washington, Serbian media reported.
