Vjosa Osmani, Kosovo Assembly MP from the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), reacted after Serbian Assembly’s withdrawal of the invitation for her participation at the Conference organized by Chairman of the European Integration Committee at the Parliament of Serbia, Nenad Canak.

“On the Europe Day, Serbia shows its real anti-European face.

I have been informed also officially today through a notification with the least diplomatic language, about the decision of the Assembly of Serbia, to withdraw the invitation for my participation at the conference organized by Chairman of the European Integration Committee at the Parliament of Serbia, Nenad Canak. The state of Serbia showed through this decision that it is very much impacted by chauvinists and war criminals such as Vojislav Seselj. It was exactly the provocations of the latter, which brought destabilization of relations with the Croatian state in recent weeks.

Despite the opening of majority of the chapters for EU membership, Serbia is showing that it remains a state with anti-European values and that it gained all its achievements on the European integration process through Kosovo issues, and not due to merits and fulfillment of standards. Such actions by Serbia do not represent contribution neither to peace or to normalization of the relations and even less to European destination of the Western Balkans countries,” Osmani wrote on her Facebook profile.
