Kosovo’s Minister for European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha, said today that she expects the European Commission will make a positive recommendation for visa liberalization for Kosovo in June. During her address at a roundtable in Pristina, Hoxha said Kosovo’s institutions were working on all directions to move forward in the European integration process. She said the authorities were addressing all the advantages and setbacks identified in the European Commission’s Progress Report on Kosovo and that the government has prepared an action plan that will serve as an internal document for Kosovo’s institutions. In the rule of law area, Hoxha said institutions are working on meeting the requirements stemming from the European Reforms Agenda, the National Plan for the implementation of the Stabilization/Association and the challenges of the Country Report. “Strengthening the rule of law sector will have a positive impact in concluding the visa liberalization process and creating a favorable climate for foreign businesses and investments … We expect a positive recommendation from the European Commission in June,” Hoxha said.
