The Department for the Judicial Affairs at the Office of the President informed through a letter sent to the Vetevendosje Movement caucus Glauk Konjufca, that the President of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, has decided to nominate the first group of the Central Election Commission (CEC) members and that the oath of this group will occur on 21 June at 10:00 hours.

The letter notes that as proposed by the Vetevendosje Movement parliamentary group, Nazlie Bala is ranked the first from the two nominees by this parliamentary group, therefore she was invited for the oath ceremony.

While as far as the nomination of the second group of CEC members is concerned, the Presidency will wait for the interpretation of Article 139, paragraph 4 of the Constitution of Kosovo, by the Constitutional Court, as the President of Kosovo intends to remove any dilemma on the matter of parliamentary groups that the members should be appointed from.

The letter also noted that they will be informed in time about the further steps.
