Several online media report that hundreds of workers of the Trepca mining complex are protesting in front of the Kosovo Assembly building in Pristina demanding their rights. Protesters are asking to meet with Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj and Assembly President Kadri Veseli. Among their demands are: pensions of 70 percent of their salaries, the law on work invalids, health insurance at work, etc. The head of the Trepca miners’ union told Indeksonline that today’s protest is just a warning and that if the institutions ignore their demands they will go into strike and will not stop protesting until their demands are met.
