After the evening liturgy, Raska-Prizren Eparchy Bishop Teodosije would serve today in Saint Demetrious Church in Mitrovica North “Prayer for Kosovo and Metohija,” Radio kontakt plus reported. The same prayer would be held until Friday in other temples and churches across Kosovo.

Bishop Tedosije called upon priesthood, monks and believers that in the difficult days ahead us, by prayers and fasting all together give a contribution to preserve a living church in Raska-Prizren Eparchy.

“Serbian Orthodox Church faithfully remains with its people in Kosovo and Metohija, regardless the verdicts those in power make, knowing well that God’s justice would be the last and all those giving up on holly-Lazarus inheritance for the sake of temporary interests could easily come under the heavy burden of holly Tsar Lazar’s judgment and oath.”

“We live in this world, but we are not made of it, and for us Kosovo and Metohija is not something that somebody can take away from us, unless we renounce it ourselves. For our faithful people, Kosovo and Metohija is a synonym for all what our ancestors have left to us, what makes us children of Sveti Sava at this world crossroad, and that is why it would remain ours until there is a last Serb who carries in his heart this precious pearl the Lord has given to us through our ancestors,” Bishop Teodosije said in his message.

The schedule of prayers is below, and it would take place after the evening liturgies that start at 17.00:

  • Monday, August 6, Saint Demetrious Temple in Mitrovica North
  • Tuesday, August 7. Gracanica Monastery
  • Wednesday, August 8. Saint Archangel Gabriel Monastery of Draganac
  • Thursday, August 9, Saint Nikolaj Temple in Strpce
  • Friday, August 10, Holly Virgin Temple in Orahovac.
