Pristina based non-governmental organization Kosovo Centre for Security Studies (KCSS) presented yesterday a report on Serbia’s role in submitting collective resignations of Kosovo Security Force (KSF) Serb members, KoSSev portal reports today.

KCSS report mainly referring to the media reports, said that resignations of the Serb members in KSF “is a well-planned military and psychological operation carried out by the members of the Military-Intelligence Service from Belgrade and Vranje,” as well as that “pressure” exercised on Serb members of KSF and their collective resignations “is the most brutal example of Serbia’s interference in the work of Kosovo institutions.”

KCSS report notes that out of 130 Serb members in KSF, 60 submitted resignations due to, as report says, “pressures, blackmails and threats from Serbia.” However, the report does not mention sources for these claims.

Although the report in several places condemns “aggression” of the Serbian intelligence services and “mistreatment” of the KSF Serb members, who due to, as the report notes, pressure submitted resignations, KCSS in part of the report dedicated to recommendations, urged institutions to initiate disciplinary proceedings against Serb KSF members “due to their contractual obligations toward KSF.”

At the end, the report recommends to the Kosovo Government to continue with KSF transformation trough law amendments.
