The Kosovo and Metohija Office announced that in the village of Grabac in the municipality of Klina, around 15 Serbian returnees’ houses were broken into and condemned the attempt to jeopardize the security of Serbs, reports regional broadcaster N1.

“This blatant attack on Serbian property should be viewed in the light of the long-running campaign of intimidation of Serbs south of the Ibar, and it is necessary to stop immediately with this practice on order not to disturb the sensitive security situation in the province, ” the statement said on the occasion of last night’s break ins.

The office condemned the attacks and called on the international community “not to turn blind eye to the fact that the Serb people in Kosovo daily are the target of the extremists, that are disguised as burglars and sow fear in enclaves south of the Ibar, stealing cattle and breaking into houses.”

The statement adds that the constant attacks on Serbian property are proof of the complete absence of the rule of law, the failure to meet democratic standards and the failure of international organizations in Kosovo.

“We also use this opportunity to warn the extremists in Kosovo and Metohija once again that Serbia will never allow a systematic threat to the human rights and security of the Serbian people in the province,” the statement said, reports N1.

The Serbian List condemns plundering of returnees’ houses in Grabac

Serbian List in a statement for the media condemns the plundering of 15 houses in the village of Grabac, municipality of Klina, reports North Mitrovica based TV Most.

The statement reads that at that time an 88-year-old woman, Ilinka Nesic, was attacked. This list estimates that this is a continuation of the policy of intimidating Serbs south of the Ibar with the aim of preventing the return of displaced persons and expelling the remaining Serbs.

The Serbian List strongly condemns these attacks and invites the authorities to find and prosecute the attackers.

“As we are aware of the powers and obligations of the international missions of EULEX and KFOR, we call on them to act in accordance with their mandate, and not to be witnesses of the attacks on Serbs by their omission,” the Serbian List said.
