Gracanica Mayor Srdjan Popovic said the meeting with Minister Pal Lekaj was previously agreed without any conditions, and that Gracanica Municipality has symbols regulated by the law, RTS reports today.
“During the first year of my mandate I was a host to many prominent figures, domestic and international officials, ambassadors and citizens of different ethnic backgrounds. Never, while setting the meetings, were there similar requests as it was the case yesterday morning in a phone call to our cabinet, although the meeting was agreed previously without any conditions,” Popovic underlined.
He made these remarks in relation to the Minister Lekaj cancelled visit to Gracanica municipality yesterday.
Popovic added, that “the municipality remains committed to its citizens, and mayor’s cabinet remains open for all the guests who wish to help our municipality and improve living conditions of our inhabitants. For me and the leadership of the municipality, life, trust and good-neighbourly relations are the greatest symbols,” Popovic emphasized.
